I began studying painting at age six and exhibiting by age twelve. Over 30 years ago, I fell in love with the way sunlight danced on colored glass all day long, and I began producing glass art as a commissioned artist, business owner, teacher, and instructor. Currently, my work is held in private and public spaces throughout the United States.
My portfolio includes kiln formed glass, glass mosaics, stained glass, mixed media sculpture, as well as art utilizing cutting edge glass techniques. Original art expresses my fascination with nature. Commissioned projects represent the interests of my clients.
Glass in its many forms is used architecturally as entry doors, transoms, windows, sinks, tiles, drawer pulls and knobs. Glass mosaics have appeared as murals, benches, windows, and home accessories. Kiln formed glass has been created as sculptures, tableware, jewelry, and home accents. Ecclesiastical windows, restorations, and memorials have also been created. Each piece is an original creation utilizing the finest raw materials available, assuring the best display of light playing upon the glass.
Today, I am a full time professional artist and instructor. I have been represented by Architectural Glass and Design, Jacksonville Beach, FL, The Clayton Center for the Arts, Maryville College, Maryville, TN, Smoky Mountain Art Gallery, Gatlinburg, TN, and Townsend Artisan Gallery, Townsend, TN. I have participated in festivals, exhibits, and art donations to charity including Artitude for the Cancer Support Community, Appalachian Bear Rescue, The Heritage Center Annual Auction and The Friends of the Smokies Evergreen Ball.
